The Testificate Rights and Economic Stability Act (TRESA)

Preamble: This act is established to ensure the ethical treatment of all Testificates (Villagers), to prevent the inhumane commodification of their labor, and to protect the server’s economy from hyperinflation driven by the over-minting of Emeralds.

Article I: Villager Housing and Living Standards

To prevent the physical exploitation of villagers (commonly referred to as “trading halls”), all players must adhere to strict zoning and housing regulations.

  • Minimum Square Footage: No villager shall be permanently confined to a 1×1 or 1×2 block space. A compliant dwelling must contain a minimum of 6 blocks of walkable floor space per villager.
  • The Right to Sleep: Every villager must have unrestricted access to a bed. Trapping a villager in a minecart or boat permanently is strictly prohibited.
  • The Right to Socialize: Settlements containing more than three villagers must include a centralized Town Square containing a Bell. Villagers must have pathfinding access to this square during the afternoon.
Article II: The Zombification and Curing Ban

The practice of intentionally feeding villagers to zombies to cure them for extreme economic discounts is a violation of fundamental biological rights.

  • Cruel and Unusual Punishment: Intentional zombification of any villager is a Class A Felony.
  • Discount Exploitation: Players are strictly forbidden from utilizing the “Curing Discount.” If a villager is accidentally zombified and cured, the player must not trade with that villager until their prices naturally return to their baseline rate.
  • Containment: The construction of automated “zombification chambers” or the keeping of named Zombies within 10 blocks of a villager settlement is illegal.
Article III: Market and Currency Controls (Anti-Inflation)

Hyperinflation occurs when players trade infinitely farmable resources (like sticks, glass, or iron) for emeralds. To maintain the Emerald as a stable gold standard, the following trade restrictions apply.

  • The Anti-Dumping Clause: Players may not trade automatically farmed items for emeralds. This includes iron from Iron Golem farms, string from spider spawners, and pumpkins/melons from piston farms.
  • The Stick Limit: The mass-crafting of sticks solely to sell to Fletchers is capped. A player may only trade a maximum of one stack (64) of sticks per in-game week.
  • The Librarian Loophole: Buying glass, crafting glass panes, and selling them back to Cartographers for a profit is classified as market manipulation and is strictly outlawed.
  • Valid Minting: Emeralds may only be legitimately obtained through manual labor (mining, farming crops by hand, manual woodcutting) or selling high-tier crafted items (like enchanted books or diamond gear) to other players.
Article IV: Labor and Employment Law

Villagers have the right to self-determination in their chosen professions.

  • Workstation Cycling Limits: The practice of placing and breaking a lectern repeatedly until a Librarian offers the “Mending” enchantment is classified as psychological torture. Players may only cycle a villager’s profession a maximum of three times. After the third placement, the player must accept the trades offered.
  • Forced Relocation: Transporting villagers via boats or minecarts across distances greater than 200 blocks requires an approved “Immigration Visa” from a server administrator, proving the destination meets Article I standards.
Article V: Enforcement and Penalties

Server administrators serve as the Supreme Court and have the authority to audit any player’s base for TRESA compliance.
